So thought I'd make a list here of my favorite movies. At least seemed like a thing to do at the time:
5. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure - How could I not feature this movie on my Top 5 list? This was my favorite movie of my childhood by and far. I can actually say that for around 8 years of my life I watched this movie nearly every single night before going to bed. It is one of the funniest classic 80's comedies by and far. Plus it features the greatest comedian of all time, George Carlin.
4. Star Wars - I'm just going to list the entire series here. A New Hope and Revenge of the Sith both tie for my favorite of the saga, but the series as a whole is so instrumental in my life that I couldn't help but include the entire series on this list. Now seeing as I live so much of my life based around these movies, it might be surprising they're not in a higher place, but that doesn't mean I love them any less.
3. The Crow - This was my first rated R movie, and persists to be amongst my favorite movies of all time. On my first viewing at the age of 9 I continued to watch it around 3-4 times in a row simply due to the bloodiness and the small amount of nudity. As I got older though I began to love the brutal imagery and darkness of it. The acting in it as well was just amazing, which makes it all the more sad that Brandon Lee died filming the movie.
2. Mallrats - This was an easy choice to have up here. I've seen the movie over a 100 times at least....and that's just during this past week. I have the whole movie memorized from the music down to every line in it. Jason Lee's character of Brody just resonates as my favorite character in any movie ever, despite Jason Lee's own insanity. The movie all together is just one of my favorite things of all time, and is most assuredly my favorite Kevin Smith movie.
1. Die Hard - After many years of ignoring my love for this movie, it dawned on me not to long ago just how much I love it. For years now I've made it my tradition to watch it on Xmas each and every year and I truly love everything about it. The music, the visuals, the acting...everything in the movie is just absolutely amazing.
